Sudamala gets new direction from new head chef

"Food is a powerful way to experience a culture, and by highlighting the local cuisine at each of our resorts, we aim to offer our guests a true taste of the region's heritage and hospitality,” said chef Dorin Schuster, as he took the reigns as the new corporate chef and Group Food & Beverage director at Sudamala Resort.

With a career spanning over three decades in Europe and Asia, the master chef will be responsible for menu development, kitchen management, staff training and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service in all Sudamala Resort across Bali, Lombok and Flores.

Blending traditional flavors, contemporary techniques and his expertise after experiences in Michelin restaurants across the globe, he is set to create an unforgettable dining experience for all. He brings his philosophy everywhere he goes, which is to use only the freshest ingredients. He is committed to creating dishes that tell a story of the local culture and history.

The chef previously achieved great success leading the kitchen at Iggy's in Singapore, which was voted Best New Restaurant at the 2006 World Gourmet Summit. During his tenure, he was also awarded the San Pellegrino Chef of the Year award in 2007.
