arriott International’s properties across Indonesia are set to host a series of Road to Give events, themed "10 Years Moving: A Decade of Giving," in Nusa Dua, Bali on Oct.12, at 6 a.m.

The upcoming event, which will promote active lifestyles and support local communities, is part of Marriott International, Inc’s program to celebrate a decade of giving. The Road to Give 2024 is its largest annual fundraising initiative.

Road To Give Bali 2024 is organized by Marriott Business Council Bali, with over 2,000 participants from Marriott International’s associates in Bali, running communities and the public expected to move together in a 5-kilometer run at the Peninsula Island, ITDC, Nusa Dua.

Marriott Business Council Bali disclosed that all proceeds from this fundraising event would support Marriott International’s Serve 360 programs in Indonesia through key partnerships with local non-profit organizations, namely Solar Chapter, to help remote communities in East Nusa Tenggara by providing access to clean water, as well as Bali Children Foundation, to support the education of children with special needs and those from underprivileged backgrounds in Bali.

“As we celebrate a decade of giving through the Road to Give, we reaffirm our commitment to making a positive impact in the communities we serve,” said I Wayan Raksa, co-chairman of Marriott Business Council Bali.

“Together, we can empower individuals, provide essential resources and create a lasting legacy of compassion and support. Let us unite in this journey of hope and transformation,” he continued.

In addition to the 5-km run, the event will also feature Zumba sessions, kids’ activities and unique food and beverage stalls, bringing together local businesses and social communities.

Registration was open until Sept. 30, at Rp 225,000 (US$14.73) per person, which included a commemorative Road to Give 2024 jersey.

Participants can also support the cause by bidding on luxurious stays at Marriott International’s hotels and resorts worldwide through an online auction, open until 8 p.m. (Bali time) on Oct. 26.

Direct donations are also welcome for those who wish to contribute beyond the event.

The Road to Give Bali 2024 is a collaborative effort of 31 Marriott International’s properties in Bali and Labuan Bajo.
