In a statement issued on Friday, Prabowo also urged his supporters not to stage protests in front of the Constitutional Court building ahead of or during the reading out of the verdict on Monday.
resident-elect and Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto called on his supporters on Friday to maintain calm and unity ahead of a Constitutional Court (MK) session to hear the verdict on the presidential election dispute.
In a statement issued on Friday, Prabowo also urged his supporters not to stage protests in front of the Constitutional Court building ahead of or during the reading out of the verdict on Monday.
"I have to reiterate that we all should keep calm and cool, restrain ourselves and let the MK justices carry out their noble duties with their wisdom," Prabowo said in the statement.
Prabowo also called on his supporters to remain vigilant about any efforts made by some quarters to create unrest.
"Please be careful not to be provoked, especially by efforts taken by people who want to create disorder," he said.
Earlier on Thursday, Prabowo, through an official in his campaign team, issued an order for his supporters not to take to the street on Friday, to prevent what he termed as "applying pressure to court justices."
The court is expected to issue its verdict on Monday on the presidential election dispute petition filed by losing presidential candidates Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo.
