After being down since Thursday, social network Path was back online on Friday.

Path experienced a login issue on Thursday, resulting in its users being unable to log in or forcing them to be automatically logged out; preventing them from uploading photos and sharing their activities.

During Path's maintenance yesterday, Twitter Indonesia, via its official account @TwitterID tweeted this.

Path's official account, @PathService, announced the technical issue on Thursday and that it expected to resolve the matter within the next 12 hours. Several hours later, another tweet stated that maintenance was taking longer than expected.

Although Path is back online, users in Indonesia have not stopped voicing their complaints over the matter. Another social network, Twitter Indonesia, also voiced its reaction.

Path's official account @PathService announced the technical problem on Thursday and that it expected to resolve the matter within the next 12 hours. Several hours later, another tweet stated that maintenance was taking longer than expected.

Twitter Indonesia, via its official account @TwitterID, tweeted: "Daripada sebal karena ada yang lagi Down, lebih baik kita pesta GIF, kita baru rilis emoji #GIFparty #nomention" (rather than be annoyed due to someone being Down, let's have a GIF party instead, we just released the #GIFparty emoticon #nomention).

Hashtag #EnakanJugaTwitter (#UsingTwitterIsBetter) was later used, perhaps as a reaction to the tweet, and quickly became a trending topic. Netizens using the hashtag generally compared the two social networks, with most stating the positive side of using Twitter.

The Associated Press previously reported that Twitter did not show user growth during its fourth-quarter report and that it had fewer monthly users than Facebook. (kes)
