Who better to write a Batman story than the caped crusader himself?
Ben Affleck is slated to return for two Justice League movies with the possibility of a standalone Batman film, for which he will write the script himself.
In an exclusive The Hollywood Reporter interview with the CEOs of the talent agency that represents the 43-year-old actor, it is revealed that Ben is expected to wear the cape at least three times.
"Well, he's contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two [...] And there's a script that he's written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that's out there as an option," says WME co-CEO Patrick Whitesell.
The latest DC movie Batman V Superman has gained mixed reviews; critics are mostly disappointed, while regular viewers reportedly enjoyed it and praised Ben for his portrayal of the Dark Knight.
But don't expect the movie to be released anytime soon, as Affleck told Entertainment Weekly that he was currently still focusing on another project.
"The [Batman movie] is in development; right now I’m really focusing on finishing Live By Night [...] That’s where my focus is, and I tend to be a one movie at a time guy. So, when I’m finished with this movie, I’ll then focus on my next movie and figure out what that will be,” said the actor. (kes)
