View all search resultsUK-based dating website Illicit Encounters has decided to go the extra mile to cater to its customers by buying a private island.
Nestled off the UK coast, the island reportedly would serve as a getaway for those seeking to secretly embark on infidelities.
Slated to open in 2017, Daily Mail reported that the so-called Illicit Retreat would be equipped with individual accommodations, dining rooms, tennis courts, a spa and even STI tests on arrival. Estimated to cost between £5,000 (US$7,063) and £15,000 per person for a week-long stay, the place will also naughtily include a fake conference room, to cater to those telling their spouses they gone away for business, and a paper-trail-free helicopter ride to the island.
"We're currently in negotiations to purchase a private island that will be the first of its kind and offer people a place where they can have a completely secret affair. The idea has been in the pipeline for a while. However, now we have a firm business plan and a lot of public interest," Illicit Encounters spokesman Christian Grant told Daily Mail.
Established in 2004, Illicit Encounters specializes in connecting married people. Currently having more than 1 million users, the dating site facilitates members who are looking for a little romance outside their current relationships. (kes)
