ontinuing on from their wireless speaker launch in March, lovers of Bose’s noise-canceling effect will rejoice at the US-based company’s new wireless QuietComfort technology.
Bose has announced the launch of the QC35 and QC30 over-ear and in-ear headphones, developed to stop low-frequency noises, such on planes and trains. Users just need to connect the headphones to their phone or laptop via Bluetooth or near field communication (NFC) pairing — in other words, put their device close to the headphones and switch it on.
However, although not having any wires could mean more comfort, as stated by wired.com it may cause some loss in music quality. However, the noise-canceling effect, which is Bose’s strength, will remain unaffected.

The battery life of the QC35 over-ear headphones, which are shaped similarly to other Bose companions, is expected to be up to 20 hours, or 40 hours when wired up. The neck-fitting QC30’s battery life will last around 10 hours. Both come with an application that lets users adjust noise cancellation levels as well as dual-mics in the headset to make hands-free phone calls clearer.
Presently, the QC35 headphones are being sold for US$350, while the QC30 will be available from September for $300. (asw)
