The Star Wars movie franchise will add one standalone film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, to its portfolio at the end of 2016.

The highly anticipated movie tells of the events post Revenge of the Sith, where Darth Vader first appeared in his black suit and assisted breathing gear.

Unlike the episode-numbered saga, Rogue One: A Star Wars History, will not be focusing on Luke Skywalker and co., but will feature other characters within the Star Wars realm.

Lucasfilm head honcho Kathleen Kennedy confirmed to Entertainment Weekly, that 85 year-old actor James Earl Jones would be the voice of a key character from the original saga, Darth Vader, who will be making an appearance in Rouge One.

“He will be in the movie sparingly,” Kennedy told EW, “But at a key, strategic moment, he’s going to loom large.”
