A team of documentary filmmakers followed Wisconsin resident Steven Avery as he was released from prison after serving 18 years for murder and sexual assault. The filmmakers happened to be in the right place at the right time to document Avery as he was charged again, this time with the murder Theresa Halbach in 2005.
The second season follows the Avery and the rest of his family post-conviction, as we find out if there are any legal options to free Avery and his nephew, also charged with Halbach’s murder.
Sufficiently intrigued? No release date has been officially announced yet. (tif/kes)
