apanese action-suspense drama Guard Center 24 is set to premiere in Indonesia on Sept. 16 on entertainment channel GEM.
According to a press release distributed on Thursday, it will be the first time in history that international audiences can watch a Japanese drama at the same time it is aired in Japan.
Set in a private security company, the Nippon TV-produced series follows Shinomiya Mamoru, a newly-hired emergency responder, who tries to save and protect his clients together with his colleagues.

The dorama's casts include popular Japanese stars such as idol group Sexy Zone member Kento Nakajima, Chiaki Kuriyama (Battle Royale, Kill Bill) and Takaya Kamikawa (Angel Heart, Hanasaki Mai Speaks Out). In addition to Indonesia, Guard Center 24 will also be aired in other Asian countries such as the Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Thailand.
Those fond of thriller dorama can also watch several other Japanese dramas that will be premiered in September, namely Ms. Sadistic Detective, which stars renowned actor Mikako Tabe, and The Last Cop featuring Masataka Kubota. (kes)
