ays after releasing her newest hit “Perfect Illusion,” Lady Gaga announced the release of her album “Joanne” on Oct. 21.

In an interview on Thursday with Zane Lowe on Beats Radio, as reported by Billboard and USA Today, the singer-songwriter revealed that she had named her album after her aunt, Joanne Germanotta, who died from lupus at 19 years old in 1974. Gaga’s middle name is also Joanne, and Gaga’s dad, Joe Germanotta, named his New York-based restaurant in honor of his sister.

“She is the woman of my past, helping me bring more of my honest-woman self to the future,” she told Lowe on his radio show.

The album cover features a topless Gaga, 30, posing with a baby pink hat and golden earrings.

The album contains scribbles from her late aunt and Gaga’s family pictures and memorabilia. Moreover, Gaga announced that “Joanne” will play 11 hits on its main album and 14 tracks on its deluxe edition.

She dropped names of several tracks included in ”Joanna,” such as “John Wayne,” a song about Gaga’s “incessant need to run after wild men,” and “Sinner’s Prayer,” about a woman confronting a man. She also hinted two other thrilling hits—“Ayo,” a DJ tribute, and an unnamed song with Bollywood-inspired rhythm.

Gaga, meanwhile, said her music video for “Perfect Illusion,” which was directed by fashion photographer Ruth Hogben, “is coming soon.”
