he Central Java provincial administration has announced a cooperation with Twitter Indonesia to improve its interaction with residents.
Dubbed Twitter Kemala (Kelola Melantas Layanan or Direct Service Management), the solution aims to ease communication and live interaction between the administration and the public.
"Since Twitter is real-time, this platform provides a good option for institutions in the country to deliver information as well as communicate with the people in a rapid and responsive manner," said Twitter Indonesia country business head Roy Simangunsong as quoted by Antara news agency on Thursday.

Central Java is reportedly the first administration in Indonesia that will use Twitter Kemala with the aim of implementing more efficient and transparant e-governance practices.
To use this new service, residents can simply tweet their questions, suggestions or complaints using the hashtag #KemalaJateng and wait for a response from the region's relevant institutions. There is no need to mention a particular institution's Twitter account as the tweet will be forwarded by a dedicated team. (kes)
