T

he “Mannequin Challenge” that proliferated on social media and was acted out by several Hollywood celebrities has reached the gates of “Sesame Street.”

Spirited advancements are coming to “Sesame Street”—just this week, Deadline reported that David Guion & Michael Handelman is penning a script for the children’s classic, to be produced by Warner Bros. The film is poised to be a sequel to “Follow That Bird” (1985) and “The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland” (1999).

After four decades of existence in American network PBS, “Sesame Street” relocated to HBO in 2015. The series, which debuted in 1969, will celebrate its 47th season next year.
