ollowing the release of its new app Events for iOS devices in October, Facebook is slated to launch a similar feature for Android users in the coming days.
As reported by tempo.co, Events allowed users to find interesting events or activities based on their preferences. It will also show your friends' events, according to your connectivity on Facebook.

In addition to facilitating searches of events based on time, location and interest, the app also gives detailed information about the event, including location. It will also act as reminder if users already have a scheduled plan on their calendar.
