Miss Universe 2017 Iris Mittenaere paid a visit to the Garuda Indonesia Training Center (GITC) in West Jakarta on Monday.
In addition to exploring the pilot and cabin crew training facilities, including a “social grace” training class and wet drill training for crew members, Mittenaere also tried out the flight simulation facility for pilots in training.

“After seeing the training processes for the cabin crew, it's not surprising that Garuda Indonesia has been able to maintain its ‘World’s Best Cabin Crew’ achievement for three years straight,” she said.
The carrier's human resources director Linggarsari Suharso said that the activity aimed to enhance people’s knowledge about the country's rich cultural diversity.
The visit of Mittaenere, who was accompanied by Puteri Indonesia 2017 Bunga Jelita, is part of a partnership between Garuda Indonesia and Yayasan Puteri Indonesia foundation for the final night event of the Puteri Indonesia 2017 beauty pageant. (kes)
