Award-winning singer Janet Jackson has just split from her third husband, Wissam al-Mana, following the birth of their child.

Previously married to singer James DeBarge for one year in the 1980s, and to René Elizondo Jr from 1991 to 2000, Jackson married al-Mana, a Qatari billionaire, in 2012, but did not announce their nuptials until 2013.

According to The Telegraph, Jackson toned down both her recent music videos and clothing for her concerts, covering up more instead of wearing her trademark revealing ensembles, at the wishes of al-Mana. “It drove her crazy and she felt she was losing her fan base,” said a source to TMZ.

Jackson is rumored to have converted to Islam, and when getting married, accepted her then-fiance's request to have a private wedding.

Their child, Eissa Al Mana, is also Jackson’s first and was born only months ago. "Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world," the singer's representative told People magazine of the highly secretive birth.

People has confirmed the split, though neither Jackson nor al-Mana have responded to the news. (sul/kes)
