et ready for some serious chills in this preview for Netflix and Marvel’s latest superhero series, “The Defenders.”

The trailer takes us through a round-up of these street heroes, starting with blind lawyer Matt Murdock (Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox) getting private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) out of a holding cell.

Ex-convict Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and martial arts warrior Iron Fist (Finn Jones) have a tense encounter before finding out that they have been banded together with Murdock and Jones to save New York City.

They might not want to be friends, but as the Defenders, they will need to get past the chips on their shoulder: their nemesis is more than what one hero can handle. Each hero has their dark past (and serious trust issues), but they will need to get past these to face their most formidable opponent yet.

We can’t wait to see how Daredevil’s radar sense and quick instincts, Jessica Jones’ detective skills and superpowers, Luke Cage’s super strength, and billionaire Danny Rand’s blazing Iron Fist will combine in the upcoming show.

The series will premiere August 18 on Netflix.
