etting a good night’s sleep is definitely one of the most underrated pleasures in life, but sometimes, catching those zzz’s is easier said than done.
Creators of the sought after “Gravity Blanket” aim to address such concerns, through unusually heavy, yet very comfortable bedtime covers.
The ingenious invention, which weighs between 15 and 25 pounds, is meant to evenly distribute pressure all over the body— hence giving users a restful sleep by relieving stress and anxiety.

According to the Huffington Post, the blanket provides users a sense of security by giving out “the feeling of being held or hugged.”
Weighted blankets, meanwhile, have been used by therapists through the years, to aid stress among patients, particularly those with sensory disorders like autism.
Prior to its availability to the market, creators sought funding through a $1.6 million Kickstarter campaign. The product was positively received by the public, and collected 77 times its initial goal in just over a week.
The Gravity Blanket’s 15, 20 and 25-pound variations will retail for $279. Adults are advised to purchase based on 10 percent of their total body weight.
