Apple is set to open its first retail store in Taiwan.
According to Antara news agency, the Apple Store will be located at the country's world-famous Taipei 101 building in Taipei.
Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed the news by tweeting, "Here comes Apple Taipei 101, our first store in Taiwan!" on Monday.

There is no information yet on the actual opening date of the store, but reports are swirling that it may take place around the end of this month.
The Cupertino-based company currently operates 495 retail stores in 17 countries, of which 270 are located in the United States. (kes)
