resident Joko “Jokowi” Widodo turns 56 on Wednesday. Netizens on Twitter congratulated President Jokowi using the #Happy56thJokowi hashtag, which quickly trended in Indonesia.
Some posted photos of Jokowi. Television presenter-cum-radio broadcaster Hilbram Dunar shared his selfie with the President, writing,"Happy birthday Mr President. I look forward to accompany you working again, someday."

Jakarta governor-elect Anies Baswedan also sent his best wishes to Jokowi via his official Twitter account. Writing in Javanese, he wished the President an abundance of happiness and blessings from God.

Meanwhile, the official Twitter account of the British Embassy in Indonesia and Timor-Leste @UKinIndonesia wrote, “Happy birthday, Jokowi! We look forward to strengthening our partnership with #Indonesia.”

While others are busy sending him wishes, kompas.com reported that the President was spending his birthday distributing sembako (staple foods) packages in Bogor and Sukabumi in West Java. (kes)
