Here are five free mobile apps to accompany you on mudik.
dul Fitri is one of the most-anticipated holidays in Indonesia. However, mudik (annual exodus) can be tiring as it often entails long traveling hours.
Being stuck in traffic for hours can be boring. Here are five mobile apps to accompany you on mudik, as recommended by kompas.com.
Fidget spinner
Fidget spinner enthusiasts can now play the game on their cell phones. Available on Google Play and App Store, the app requires users to swipe their cell phone screen repeatedly to earn points, mimicking the physical fidget spinner.
LINE Webtoon
Fans of Korean online comic webtoon may want to consider installing this application before going on mudik. Featuring comics of various genres, varying from romance, drama, comedy and action to horror, the app enables readers to get the latest comic editions while away from home. Furthermore, the default language can be adjusted on the app's menu, allowing users to read the comics in their preferred language.

Dots
Developed by Playdots Inc., the Dots application offers a light gaming experience that combines fun and creative thinking. The game requires the user to connect as many same-colored dots as possible within 60 seconds. Dots comes in several modes, namely timed, moves, endless and challenges.
Wattpad
Similar to LINE Webtoon, Wattpad allows users to read while away from home. Specializing in lengthy stories and novels, readers can access different types of stories from writers across the world for free.
The app is also equipped with a library feature, enabling users to save their favorite works and read them offline.
TTS Lontong
Crossword enthusiasts can download TTS Lontong developed by Gambir Game Studio. However, unlike conventional crosswords, the Indonesian word puzzle app consists of out-of-the-box questions and answers similar to local comedian Cak Lontong’s jokes, requiring users to have a great imagination.
