nglish singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran apparently has had enough of Twitter. Within 24 hours after his brief appearance in the season premiere of HBO Original production Game of Thrones, he decided to delete his Twitter account on Monday.
Those trying to access @edsheeran account will find that the page does not exist.
The singer's fans have reacted to this, asking for explanations and expressing sadness.

Earlier this month, he told The Sun that he had gone off Twitter completely, as there was nothing in Twitter but people saying mean things.
“One comment ruins your day […] that’s why I’ve come off it,” he said. However, at that time, he had yet to quit Twitter completely.

His guest appearance on Game of Thrones receives mixed reviews. Since not everyone loves him as much as actress Maisie Williams does, Sheeran was bombarded with mean tweets.

These tweets might have been the thing that convinced him to delete his Twitter account altogether. At the time of writing, Sheeran has yet to provide any explanation to his fans. Meanwhile, his Instagram and Facebook accounts remain active. (jes/kes)
