Lineup of Jakarta's C3 anime festival announced

Several Japanese artists are slated to enliven the Japanese pop culture event, C3 Anime Festival Asia (AFA), to be held on Aug. 18-20 at the JIExpo Kemayoran in Central Jakarta.

everal Japanese artists are slated to enliven the Japanese pop culture event, the C3 Anime Festival Asia (AFA), to be held on Aug. 18-20 at the JIExpo Kemayoran in Central Jakarta.

Toru Furuya, a Japanese voice actor who is known for voicing many characters, such as Amuro Ray of Mobile Suit Gundam, Pegasus Seiya of Saint Seiya and Tuxedo Mask of Sailor Moon, is to be one of the event's special guests. He is scheduled to appear in the Special Showcases on Aug. 19, alongside Japanese musician, actor and emcee Hiroaki Kato, who launched his first album in Indonesia in early March, reported Antara news agency.

The second day of the Special Showcases on Aug. 20 will reportedly feature singer-songwriter and designer Eve, CLEANERO, the combined clear-nero duo of Nico Nico Douga fame, and singer-songwriter Takaaki Natsuhiro.  

The festival will also feature several anime characters from Fate/Apocrypha, Frame Arms Girl and Kemono Friends, as well as a special screening of Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic and Hatsune Miku Expo 2016 Japan Tour.

Animusic and J-pop fans can also expect to enjoy performances by May’n, Konomi Suzuki and Luna Haruna in the "I Love Anisong" concert. (wir/kes)
