9 Entertainment, the South Korean agency that handles Bae Jin-young, one of the members of K-pop group Wanna One, has announced on Sept. 27 that it will be taking legal action following the cyber harassment toward the 17-year-old Bae.
The agency released its statement in Korean through its official Twitter account.
“We were highly shocked at the fact that sexually harassing remarks were made toward the minor for fun without any guilt,” the agency's statement was quoted by allkpop.com . “Following our discussion with the legal department, we’ve decided to take legal action.”

Aside from gathering from their own sources, C9 Entertainment is also urging Wanna One's fans to send in their reports on the incident to c9enstaff@c9ent.co.ckr. The agency also stresses that it will be pursuing "criminal prosecution for cyber defamation", and not a settlement with those responsible for circulating the malicious comments.
According to Yonhap, Bae made his debut in August alongside the other 10 members of the group, who are winners of the talent-search program Produce 101 Season 2. (wir/asw)
