Indonesian folk-pop band Payung Teduh has decided to take a break from music.

The band deleted all photos on its official Instagram account and uploaded three photos afterwards, which contained messages to their fans.

Posted on Wednesday night, the photos used the hashtag #TerimaKasihKawan (Thank You Friend) and showed the backsides of contrabass player Aziz “Comi” Kariko and vocalist Mohammad Istiqamah “Is” Djamad.

“Allow us to show our biggest gratitude to our friends, Is and Comi, for 10 years of togetherness,” reads the caption. “Hopefully your wishes come true. Our prayers will always be with you.”

Is officially ended his contract with the band on Dec. 31. He made the announcement of his departure in November.

Meanwhile, Comi posted a photo on his official Instagram with the caption, “Thank you for all of your support. See you on the next stage one day.”

Meanwhile, in another photo, a caption says that Payung Teduh would return, without providing details on when.

According to tempo.co, Payung Teduh currently only consists of two members: Ivan Penwyun on the guitalele and Alejandro Saksakame on the drums.

Payung Teduh released its latest album Ruang Tunggu (Waiting Room) in December last year. (wir/kes)
