MESCO, a government institution responsible for training and facilitating small and medium enterprises, is collaborating with e-commerce platform Shopee to promote local products.
For one week, Shopee users will be able to check out the best of an ethnic modern collection curated by SMESCO on the e-commerce website Kreasi Nusantara.
The campaign, slated to run until Feb. 12, features various products, including clothing, shoes, accessories and musical instruments.

Shopee CEO Chris Feng said in a press release that Indonesia was an archipelago country with a cultural diversity and rich heritage appreciated and recognized by the world
Feng expressed his hope that people from different walks of life can appreciate and have easy access to high quality local products. Hence, the platform is dedicating one week to highlight the local products in a campaign themed “Koleksi Etnik Modern" (Modern Ethnic Collection).
"This initiative is aimed at giving our users, who are spread across 515 cities and regencies, easy access and make it easy for them to purchase the products," he said. (jes/kes)
