n addition to delivering its expected feminine and delicate designs, United Kingdom fashion brand Coast, for its Spring/Summer 2018 collection, is presenting a line of limited edition dresses featuring magnified mineral prints.

In collaboration with Weston, which has captured images of magnified minerals, the Coast team has mixed digital prints with iridescent fabrics and sculptural silhouettes for a limited edition collection in its latest Spring/Summer edition.

"The images are printed on glossy fabric to emphasize a mineral-like effect. This is wearable for any occasion," Avelia Deasy Puspita, Coast Indonesia's brand manager, told reporters during a recent preview luncheon in Jakarta.

Avelia added that key trend styles in the newest collection included color blocks, with items featuring bright colors to provide a sense of optimism and positivity for the the season with shades of orange, red and cobalt.

Coast's SS18 collection features four key stories with complementary accessories. The first is "whimsical", which includes items designed with delicate frills, florals and sheer layers hinting at faint shades of lemon, powder blue, pink and white.

Meanwhile, "neo-nostalgic" presents sleek and modern shapes influenced by the 1990's. The "historical" items are created with influences of the past that are reimagined, such as exaggerated sleeves and necklines. Lastly, "color pop" ensures bold colors, with key pieces such as a ruffle bodycon dress, a printed ruffle jumpsuit and a sheer organza maxi-dress.
