Navicula bassist dies following fatal car accident

I Made Indra, bassist of Bali grunge band Navicula, has died as a result of a car accident on Saturday in Bali.

The band posted an announcement on Instagram, saying, “Friends, Made Indra has left us on 6:25 p.m. WITA. Thank you for the support and prayers for Made. After struggling in critical condition, Made finally decided what is best for him. Farewell, brother. Our love is always with you. Amor ring Acinty.”

Before his death, Made was in intensive care at Sanglah General Hospital in Denpasar for two days.

Made’s girlfriend, Afi, who was with him in the car, died at the scene of the crash.

The accident happened when Made was driving after a Navicula performance in Ubud.

On Sunday, Navicula announced that they were raising funds for Made and Afi’s funeral. (wng)
