he Idul Fitri holiday is just around the corner. Many Jakarta residents have traveled to their hometown to celebrate Idul Fitri with their loved ones.
To mark the beginning of the holiday, Google Indonesia launched on Wednesday a doodle of its logo dedicated to the annual homebound exodus, locally known as mudik.
Dubbed Mudik 2018, the doodle was created by Cynthia Yuan Cheng. It displays a variety of vehicles on the road, such as minivans and scooters, with big boxes strapped to the roof. Meanwhile, the background displays skyscrapers, the National Monument (Monas) as well as houses in a village, illustrating travelers heading home from the capital.
