Pevita Pearce, who stars in the upcoming movie Buffalo Boys, spent months of training in preparation for the movie.
ctress Pevita Pearce, who was cast as Kiona in the action film Buffalo Boys, said she had undertaken months of training to prepare for her role.
“All of us [actors] had to train, either physically or for the scene, for three months,” Pevita told kompas.com. “I also have to be skilled in using a bow and arrow.”

The filming took place at Krikilan village in Kulon Progo regency, Yogyakarta. Pevita said she was amazed by the location, which had been transformed to look like a village in the 1880s.
“When I was there, I felt almost like I had gone back in time,” Pevita said.
Pevita, who also starred in a novel-adaptation movie titled Tenggelamnya Kapal Van der Wijck (The Sinking of Van der Wijck), said her role in Buffalo Boys is an independent woman. “She has to use any tools to survive.”
Scheduled to be released in Indonesia in mid-July, Buffalo Boys will have its world premiere in Canada. (wir/asw)
