Hari joined heavy metal band Makara as a vocalist in 1982. When the band broke up three years later, Hari became the singer for jazz/fusion band Krakatau with acclaimed members such as Indra Lesmana, Dwiki Dharmawan, Gilang Ramadhan and Donny Suhendra.

In between singing for Krakatau and jazz pop Adegan band in 1991, Hari released several solo albums, which produced several hit songs, such as the pop rock track  “Ada Kamu” (1988).

His last commercial album, released in 1996, was Di Sini. Hari then immersed himself in religion and became better known as a preacher in the latter part of his life. (wng)
