The new group chat feature is available for all iOS, Android and Windows devices.
essaging system WhatsApp has begun to roll out a "send message" feature that group admins can use to set who can send messages in the chat group.
"Today, we're launching a new group setting where only admins are able to send messages to a group. One way people use groups is to receive important announcements and information, including parents and teachers at schools, community centers and non-profit organizations. We've introduced this new setting, so admins can have better tools for these use cases,” WhatsApp wrote on its blog.

The "send message" option can be found under Edit Group Info and will have two settings -- All Participants and Only Admins. The settings can be toggled even if there is only one group administrator, and if any changes are made, all chat members will be notified through broadcast text messages.
The feature will be available on all iOS, Android and Windows devices. (sul/kes)
