uxury interactive makeup experience YSL Beauty Hotel is set to attract its highest visitor count in Jakarta, as the pop-up installation makes its 11th global stop in the Indonesian capital on Nov. 9-11, after first debuting in January in Paris.
Erlangga Rahman, PR digital and event manager at YSL Beauty Indonesia, said the Hotel's concept responded to the popularity of interactive art installations and combined it with a beauty experience.
Opened in Plaza Indonesia's The Warehouse on Friday evening, the Hotel welcomes guests until Sunday. Although admission is free, visitors must sign up online and register for designated 30-minute time slots, which also has limited space.
"We had planned to open for two days, but we had an overwhelming number of interest where 17,400 people signed up online following the announcement. So, we opened for another day and organized time slots to accommodate as many guests as we can," Erlangga said.

With restricted time slots, the Hotel now has more than 6,200 guest reservations, reflecting the potential in Jakarta’s beauty market.
The Hotel's unique digital concept allows makeup enthusiasts to experience various YSL products in six specially-designed rooms, with each featuring interactive installations, along with photo and video opportunities that could also be uploaded straight to each guest's online profile as registered.
"All the elements inside each room are inspired by YSL products, reflecting our brand's signature identity of edge and luxury," Erlangga said.
Previously, YSL Beauty Hotel also welcomed guests in such large cities as New York in the United States, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. (wng)
