Flags and fireworks unite at Slank 35th anniversary concert.
egendary rock band Slank held their 35th anniversary concert at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Sunday.
According to kompas.com, thousands of fans called Slankers flocked to the venue at about 3 p.m. A number of them came from outside Jakarta, including Surabaya in East Java and Gunung Kidul regency in Yogyakarta, waving flags representing their hometown.

Anto, a Slanker from Gunung Kidul, said he had arrived at the GBK on Saturday with his friends. “We came straight here from Senen [Station],” Anto told kompas.com. “It is a tradition to bring our flags.”
Starting off with fireworks that lit up the night sky, Slank then entertained its fans by performing various songs, including “Cinta Kita” (Our Love), “Menyakitimu” (Hurting You) and “Anyer 10 Maret” (Anyer March 10). The stage was decorated with wings, photos of band members and screens, kompas.com reported. (wir/mut)
