There is speculation that Apple is to share a new short film, Shot on iPhone XS, in time for the Chinese New Year.

What appears to be teaser materials for the film created by multi-award-winning film director and screenwriter Jia Zhangke were first posted on Chinese social network QQ.com.

The text invites you to click to reveal the protagonist of the film and doing so reveals a man with a taped-up bucket, as reported by 9to5 Mac

Further screens of text ask whose story is to be told and how the secret would be kept, revealing further images of the man on the back of a motorcycle and a closer shot of the bucket.

All of Shot on iPhone XS short films are shot entirely on iPhones, designed to highlight the smartphone's advanced camera features, including Smart HDR, depth control and portrait lighting features.

A post on China IT News suggests that that the film is to be officially released on Jan. 25, ahead of the Chinese New Year celebrations that begin on Feb. 5. (geo/wng)
