eri Halliwell finally spoke out on Mel B’s claims that they had a sexual relationship in the ’90s. Contrary to what Mel expected, Geri wasn’t happy with the news.

A rep denied the claims and told People it’s “simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family.” Geri is currently married to racer Christian Horner, who Mel joked would “kill her” for sharing the alleged private moment.

A source also told People that nothing happened between the two singers. “This was a classic case of Mel B being Mel Be, she got carried away and Piers was clearly egging her on,” they said.

Last week, Piers Morgan interviewed Mel for his upcoming Life Stories series and asked her about the long-time rumor that she’d slept with her bandmate. She confirmed the story and said, “It was just that once. And hopefully when Geri gets asked that, which hopefully she will after this, she won’t deny it. Because it was just a fun thing.”

Despite this, Geri is still looking forward to the Spice Girls’ upcoming reunion tour. “Geri can’t want to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories,” the rep said.

Let’s hope the two ladies really do settle their differences and work professionally throughout the tour.
