These are deals you may want to check out, varying from fashion and accessories to transportation and entertainment.

VIN+ Wine & Beyond

Wine enthusiasts may want to visit Vin+ as the wine store and bar offers a Buy Red Get White program inspired by the country’s national flag colors. Held from Aug. 16 to 18, the program gives customers a free bottle of Sauvignon Blanc for every purchase of Casillero Del Diablo’s Cabernet Sauvignon. Customers can also get a complimentary Moscato for every purchase of Fetzer’s Merlot, Pinot Noir or Zinfandel.

They can also take part in a free tasting event that will highlight Fetzer wine. The event will take place at Vin+’s outlets in Jakarta, namely at Vin+ Arcadia in Central Jakarta on Aug. 16 at 4 p.m., Vin+ Kemang in South Jakarta on Aug. 17 at 4 p.m. and Vin+ Central Park in West Jakarta on Aug. 17 at 4 p.m.

Kereta Api Indonesia

Complimentary tickets are available on Aug. 17 as the state-owned railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) joins the Independence Day celebration. This program applies for Perintis and Lokal PSO (PSO Local) trains.

There are six trains operating under Perintis, namely the Batara Kresna Railbus commuter train on the Purwosari – Wonogiri route in Central Java, the Kertalaya train plying the Kertapati – Indralaya route in South Sumatra, the Lembah Anai train that travels from Lubuk Alung to Kayu Tanam in West Sumatra, the Cut Meutia train serving the Krueng Geukeh – Bungkah – Krueng Mane route in North Aceh, the Minangkabau Express that connects Minangkabau International Airport with Padang in West Sumatra and the LRT Sumsel.

Meanwhile, trains under the PSO Local include the Bandung Raya Ekonomi that serves certain routes in West Java, the KRD Ekonomi that serves certain routes in East Java and the Prameks that operates in the provinces of Yogyakarta and Central Java.

Though it’s free, people still need to book a particular ticket at departing stations three hours prior to their departure. The ticket quota depends on the train’s capacity.

Those who have already bought tickets for Aug. 17 can get a refund at the arrival station within three days after reaching their destination. They also need to show their boarding pass, e-boarding pass or ticket to the PT KAI staff.
