The movie is said to be a remake of a classic animated film released by Disney in 1961, One Hundred and One Dalmatians. It tells the story of Dalmatian puppies who are kidnapped by rich lady Cruella de Vil, who wants to make coats out of their fur.

The post shows Stone sporting a punk rock style jacket and two-toned black and white hair. The look is made bolder with black eyeshadow and bright red lipstick.

According to CNN, Stone made a video appearance at Disney’s D23 Expo in California, saying that “the film will be set in London’s punk rock era of the 1970s”.

In 1996, Disney released the live-action version of 101 Dalmatians, starring Glenn Close, Jeff Daniels and Joely Richardson. Close received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for her performance.

Cruella will also star Emma Thompson, Paul Walter Hauser and Joel Fry and is set to premiere on May 28, 2021. (ran/wng)
