he 36th anniversary concert of Indonesian rock band Slank, scheduled to be held on Dec. 31 at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) main stadium in Central Jakarta, has been cancelled.
The Ocean Entertainment promoter announced on Thursday on social media that the concert was called off due to “unforeseen circumstances” and “technical issues”. Meanwhile, the band’s drummer Bimo “Bimbim” Setiawan Almachzumi refused to comment on the matter when contacted by kompas.com.

The concert’s ticket prices started from Rp 100,000 (US$7.16) for upper tribune category and went up to Rp 1 million for VIP category. In a statement, the promoter said that it would process refunds from Jan. 6 to 17.
Those who bought tickets online using credit or debit cards are advised to confirm repayment by replying to an e-mail sent by online ticket booking site loket.com. The process is said to take 30 to 70 days. Buyers who purchased the tickets through ATM transfers should send an e-mail confirmation to support@loket.com; this process is estimated to take 14 to 30 days. Concertgoers can also contact loket.com customer service at +6221-29101051/52 or the promoter at +6281-2968-61524.
Last year, the band members -- vocalist Akhadi “Kaka” Wira Satriaji, guitarist Abdee "Abdee" Negara, guitarist Ridwan “Ridho” Hafiedz and bassist Ivan “Ivanka” Kurniawan Arifin -- celebrated Slank's 35th anniversary by performing at the GBK main stadium on Dec. 23. (wir/kes)
