Indonesian fashion designer Barli Asmara reportedly passed away on Thursday.
“It is true [that Barli Asmara has died]. I also just got the news,” accessories designer Rinaldy Yunardi said as quoted by kompas.com.
The cause of death of the 42-year-old designer is not yet clear.

Barli was known for his couture contributions to Indonesia’s fashion scene.
The Bandung-born designer rose to prominence after joining the Dewi Fashion Knights show at the 2008 Jakarta Fashion Week. Since then, he has been a staple at the country's most prominent fashion shows.
With trademarks of delicate and ultra-feminine dresses, Barli has showcased his work at shows abroad, including the prestigious New York Couture Fashion Week. (gis/kes)
