-commerce platform Sociolla, a branch of beauty-technology company Social Bella, has opened 10 new offline stores in five cities: Jakarta; Tangerang, Banten; Bandung, West Java; Bogor, West Java; and Surabaya, East Java.

All the stores are located in shopping centers, namely Central Park and Lippo Kemang Village in Jakarta, Bintaro Exchange in Tangerang, Pasirkaliki in Bandung, AEON Sentul in Bogor and Pakuwon Mall in Surabaya.

“The opening of the new stores is a form of our commitment to provide a fun and comprehensive shopping experience,” said Social Bella Indonesia cofounder and CMO Chrisanti Indiana in a statement.

In addition to the shopping centers’ strategic locations, Chrisanti said the areas were selected to follow the company’s internal data and demand, which displayed significant growth in the five cities.

Sociolla offers a dual online-offline shopping experience at its stores. Customers who visit the offline stores can download and install the SOCO app to scan each product’s barcode and read the reviews on the app. They can also choose products on the website and pay at the in-person store.

Each store implements health and safety measures by providing hand sanitizer and requiring staff and customers to wear masks, among other protocols.

Social Bella opened Sociolla’s first offline store in West Jakarta last year. The store provides a wide array of beauty products from Indonesia and abroad, including makeup, skincare products and body care products. In October, the company announced its first overseas expansion with the launch of beauty e-commerce platform Sociolla in Vietnam. (wir/wng)
