EMARANG: Central Java Governor Bibit Waluyo found rotten rice at the Mojolaban State Logistics Agency (Bulog) warehouse in Karanganyar during an impromptu inspection on Tuesday.

Upset, Bibit requested the agency's chief in Surakarta, Nono Sukrono, to come to his office in Semarang on Thursday and asked the agency not to distribute the rice to residents.

Nono had previously declined to talk about the finding with the media but acknowledged that a rice drying machine was not working and that the drying process was being conducted manually.
