JAKARTA: Pop diva Krisdayanti is back in the arms of Timor-Leste businessman Raul Lemos, saying she’s ready to leave her glamorous world after they get married.

Krisdayanti — or KD — revealed that her future plan with Raul, with who she broke up with in April, was to build a new business empire.

“I realize I’m no longer young, and [as a singer], I won’t be paid as high as before,” KD said in a press conference with Raul recently.

“Raul often felt sorry for me whenever he saw me wake up early in the morning just to sing in one city and then another.”

So, she went on, “For me, stepping out [of the showbiz world] wouldn’t be a problem, as long as I can spend the rest of my life with the one that I love.”

Both KD and Raul said they had planned their wedding to be held in Dili, Timor Leste, but didn’t reveal the exact day.

“Financially, I can support [KD], and I do have a plan for her,” Raul said.

In April, KD admitted her affair with Raul, but also decided to end the relationship, saying she hadn’t known he was a married man

Now, as Raul is settling his divorce with Ata in court, the diva is taking another chance.

“Raul has all the criteria I need for a man — he’s polite and manly,” said KD, who denied the affair had triggered her divorce with singer-cum-song writer Anang Hermansyah in September last year. — JP
