AKARTA: Residents have filed a formal complaint against two malls in West Jakarta, alleging the management companies are polluting the area.

The Communications Forum of the Tanjung Palapa Society said it had reported the management of Central Park mall to the West Jakarta Environmental Management Office on allegations of illegal pollution, said spokesman Abdul Latif.

“How long can our bodies can take it?” he said as reported by beritajakarta.com.

The same report lodged by the group alleged that the management of Seasons City mall in West Jakarta had produced liquid waste.

Representatives from both malls have denied the group’s allegations. —JP
