AKARTA: TV host and actress Cut Tari, who has made headlines for her alleged involvement in sex video with Peterpan vocalist Ariel, was shocked to hear about reports that she had died, her lawyer said.

“She said she heard the news. She was shocked. But she said she was fine,” lawyer Mickey of Hotman Paris Hutapea Law Office told vivanews.com on Thursday.

Mickey said he and Hotman Paris were at the hospital when they heard about Cut Tari’s alleged death.

“Hotman then called Tari and she said she was fine.”

The news of the death of the 33-year-old actress was first circulated through Blackberry messenger, stating that Cut Tari died at Medistra Hospital in South Jakarta after she fainted.

It went on to say that a team of doctors was waiting for her family’s approval to conduct a postmortem to determine the cause of death.
