ANDAR LAMPUNG: A cargo vessel Serunting Satu carrying 3 tons of salt was reported to have sunk at the waters between Teluk Belimbing and
Tanjung China, West Lampung, leaving 20 of 21 crew members missing.
Police chief Adj. Comr. Tatar Nugroho said the vessel set out from Jakarta on Thursday with the final destination of Padang, West Sumatra.
“The weather has been extreme over the past few days in West Lampung. High waves and strong winds have forced fishermen to stay on land,” he said.
Nanda, 30, the only crew member to have survived the incident, was found by residents in Way Haru district.
