A Malaysian production house has purchased the right to air Para Pencari Tuhan (God’s Seekers), a local sinetron (soap opera), actor Deddy Mizwar said Monday.
“It’s been paid for. I was sleeping when suddenly I was given the money,” Deddy, who acts in the sinetron, said in Jakarta, as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Para Pencari Tuhan is a religious soap operas often aired in the country, especially during the fasting month of Ramadhan.
According to the newswire, private television station SCTV would keep airing the show in Indonesia this year despite the reported purchase.
