uring the month of Ramadhan, comedian Sudarmadji, popularly known as Doyok, will be staying up all night, as he will be performing in the show Sahur Bersama Srimulat di Indosiar.

When asked about his physical capability, the 57-year-old comedian said, “We have been working on our fitness levels. You’ll see us fresh and wide awake at 3 a.m.” He then stood up and danced at a press conference a couple of days ago, in order to prove that he’s still fit and strong enough to perform live on stage.

In 2000, Tangerang District Court sentenced Doyok to a one-year jail term for using shabu-shabu (crystal methamphetamine).

“I am no longer using drugs to build up my stamina. I quit 12 years ago. For now, I’m a dealer … a joke dealer.” he said, laughing.

He emphasized that Srimulat members do not make fun of him or mention his past. “Those who mention it will pay a fine of Rp.500.000 [US$53].” he laughed, as quoted in Kompas.com.
