reparations for the Sail Morotai event, ranging from the transportation to the accommodation of foreign participants, are almost complete said N. Iksan, a member of the organizing committee, on Friday.
The Sail Morotai organizing committee and the Morotai Island regency administration have jointly constructed the necessary infrastructure and facilities needed to ensure the event’s success, Iksan said.
Morotai Island Regent Rusli Sibua said the regency was ready to host the event, which would be held from Sept. 15 to 17. He also expressed his optimism about the event being successful.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to open the event on Sept. 15, Antara news agency reported.
Thousands of guests, including foreign investors and tourists, have been invited to attend the opening ceremony.
