wedish businesses have expressed an interest in investing in infrastructure construction and mining, says a government official.
East Kalimantan administration spokesman Adiyat said here on Monday that Swedish Ambassador Ewa Polano and several Swedish businesspeople made a field visit to the province on Saturday and Sunday, and had expressed an interest in investing in these two key sectors.
“The Swedish businesspeople will likely take part in the airport project, road and bridge repair projects and power installations in the province,” he said.
The Swedish ambassador, who also met with East Kalimantan Governor Fariz Wadjedi, said his country had developed environmentally friendly technologies in electricity and medical equipment. The governor said his government welcomed Swedish businesspeople to invest in the province with hopes that investments would be of mutual benefit and boost ties between the two countries.
